Wonderfully Whipped Cream Cheese

Welcome to Part 1 of the spreads series. 

While there are many amazing spreads to complement a freshly baked bagel. One of the all time hero spreads is cream cheese. 

However, there is a way to take your cream cheese to the next level and that’s whipped cream cheese! 

Making whipped cream cheese sounds like hard work. It’s not. it’s ridiculously easy. All you need is a mixer – either a stand or hand-held mixer, both work great – cream cheese and a touch of milk. And that’s it!

You simply add the cream cheese and milk into a mixing bowl, and whip for just a few minutes until deliciously smooth and fluffy.

It works because this process incorporates plenty of air into the cream cheese, this gives an amazing light texture that you’ll want to spread it on everything!

Prep time

Ready in less than 5 minutes

Ingredients. 

  • Cream Cheese
  • Milk
  • Bagels or other delicious bread 

2 Tablespoon (30grams) of milk to 250grams of cream cheese

Tips

  • Soften the cream cheese first. This is important for getting the correct fluffy texture.

Add a bit more flavour: 

Chop up about 3 tablespoons of chives and spring onion for that classic deli style cheese and chives.
